John Doubleday is a Senior Vice-President | Brokerage with The Retail Connection, L.P. Doubleday specializes in retail tenant representation, national advisory, shopping center development, leasing and disposition. His list of clients includes national retailers such as The Fresh Market, Charming Charlie and Palm Beach Tan, along with rapidly growing regional concepts such as Sleep Experts, Bank of the Ozarks and Which Wich. Through his project leasing he has also worked with such national retailers as Coldwater Creek, Ann Taylor Loft, PF Changs, Orvis and Francesca’s.

Doubleday brings a unique background to the firm having worked as both an entrepreneur, as well as for several Fortune500 companies. Before coming to The Retail Connection he spent three years working for Yahoo! in business and content development for the Yahoo! While his primary focus is tenant representation, Doubleday’s accomplishments also include the disposition of 32 Mervyn’s locations in Texas; the leasing of Arlington Highlands, a 900,00sf mixed-use development; and the assemblage and purchase of an 80 acre tract just north of the DFW metroplex. In addition, he is also part of the merchant banking team, Connected Capital, which has identified and invested in a number of expanding retail concepts including Moosejaw Mountaineering, The Fragrance Outlet, Marmalade Café, and Mealey’s Furniture. He is a top producer in the Dallas office and has received numerous honors and awards during his career including multiple Heavy Hitter accolades from the Dallas Business Journal.

Doubleday is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, The Nature Conservancy, The Friends of the Katy Trail and The Nasher Sculpture Center. He received dual majors in English and Philosophy at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
