David Sacher

David Sacher is a Senior Vice President | Brokerage with The Retail Connection, L.P. and has 11 years of extensive retail real estate experience. He has won over 30 awards in his career, and was named rookie of the year his first year in the business.

He is a member of The Retail Connection’s Executive Committee and is currently the firm’s youngest partner. He now specializes in retail tenant representation, pad site development, and site selection for shopping center development.

David’s outstanding production and leadership has led to the following awards. Dallas Business Journal Heavy Hitter in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009. Dallas Business Journal “Rookie of the Year” in 2001. David has also achieved Top Producer Honors at The Retail Connection all six [6] years that the awards have been presented including reaching the top Platinum Level [$1,000,000 + in gross production] in 2007; Gold Level in 2006 and 2008 and 2009; Silver level in 2005 and the Bronze in 2004. Most recently, he was awarded D Magazine’s Top Brokers in DFW.

Additionally, David also serves on the board of Pennybacker Capital, an operationally intensive real estate private equity firm that invests in well-located real estate assets in select growth markets within the United States.

Sacher is involved in numerous community philanthropic endeavors including: Jewish Federation; The American Israel Public Affairs Committee [AIPAC] | Capital Club; North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors and Real Estate Professionals [NTCAR]; International Council of Shopping Centers [ICSC].

After almost a decade in real estate, David is one of the distinct leaders among his peers, and he advises on many of the firm’s most prestigious projects. Not only is his work ethic exemplary, he is a risk-taker and is exceptionally keen on finding embryonic retail concepts with substance and the ability to expand into admired brands. Some of these include Charming Charlie, The Fresh Market and Altar’D State. He also represents such industry leaders as JP Morgan Chase. He is highly regarded by both his clients and colleagues for his integrity and relationship skills. One of David’s more impressive contributions as a leader, is his ability to mentor young and aspiring talent within an organization. Most of the new brokers look to him for guidance and direction, mainly as a result of his willingness to provide counsel and encouragement, as well as his unselfish desire to see others succeed. David is one of those professionals who always does the right thing, even when no one else is looking.

Prior to joining The Retail Connection, Sacher was a Vice President with the Weitzman Group, where he worked on a number of tenant representation and project leasing accounts. He was named the 2002 Weitzman “Break-Out Broker” for his production growth. Sacher is married and has three children, something he sees as his greatest accomplishment.
