The Retail Connection Launches Connected Development Services

April 5th, 2004 - Dallas-based The Retail Connection LP has officially entered the development side of the retail real-estate industry. Last week, the company announced that it had launched Connected Development Services. This division, says Retail Connection CEO Steve Lieberman, is an outgrowth of his firm's dedication to providing the highest level of service to its retail clients. "We need to be able to deliver on every element of (a retailer's) expansion equation -- whether it means serving on an advisory level, on the brokerage end or delivering the space they want to occupy," Lieberman explains. David C. Wilson and Daniel Fuller will serve as president and vice president, respectively, of Connected Development Services. Both were previously with Cencor Realty Services, the development and property-management affiliate of The Weitzman Group -- the retail brokerage firm where Lieberman previously served as an executive and top producer. Lieberman says that the local development community will be an important part of Connected Development's planned growth strategy. "We are happy to partner with local developers -- combine our strengths and their strengths to optimize (the development process)," he says. "Our local development partners are going to be important to that equation."
